Repairing Windows XP in Eight Commands

You might get these following problems:

- Windows Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL)
- Corrupt registry hives
- Invalid BOOT.INI files
- A corrupt NTOSKRNL.EXE
- A missing NT Loader (NTLDR)

To resolve these problems you need to get into recovery console by inserting cd into cd rom and restart you computer and press any key to continue to boot from cd after reaching to screen where it says "welcome to setup",please press R to enter into recovery console.Now you will be prompted to select a valid Windows installation,so press 1 and hit enter key and it will prompt for administrator password,here if you have one then type in other wise simply press enter key

Then proceed with the Repair functions:
There are eight commands you must enter in sequence to repair any of the issues

These commands are as follows:

C: CD ..
C: ATTRIB -H C:\\boot.ini
C:ATTRIB -S C:\\boot.ini
C:ATRIB -R C:\\boot.ini
C: del boot.ini
C: BOOTCFG /Rebuild
C: CHKDSK /R /F
C: FIXBOOT

Every after these keys you need to press enter follow accordingly and to close this window simply type in exit and hit enter.

wow!! i am amased that we can actually repair windows in just and just eight commands.............
I cant imagin life's gonna big just that easy

but what if we do not have the windows xp cd how do we do about repairing windows....
i have 9 computers and no CD what do i do without telling me "BUY A CD"

hi rich you can install recovery console with help of floppy as well

How is it you have 9 computers and no CD? As long as you have legitimate keys, just copy a friends CD.
