Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem

Problem:
You might get following error when you try to open internet explorer
"Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

Method 1
Manual steps to disable script debugging in Internet Explorer:
1.Start Internet Explorer.
2.On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3.In Advanced tab, select the Disable Script Debugging check box in the Browsing section.
4.Click OK, and then restart the computer.

Method 2
Delete browser helper objects from registry
1. Click start,run
2. Type regedit and click on ok button
3. Follow this path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\browser helper objects
4. Delete browser helper objects folder
5. Close registry and reastart the computer.

Trying to follow your solution...but can't or don't have a "brower helper objects folder" under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Any other suggestions???
